At Galveston County, we are seeking an exceptional Roadway Infrastructure Technician to join our team. As a critical component of our infrastructure maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment used in road construction, repair, and maintenance projects. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained, performs optimally, and is ready for use at any given time.

To excel in this role, you must possess a strong background in construction, maintenance, or repairs of roadways, bridges, and operating heavy and light construction equipment. Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment used in road construction, repair, and maintenance projects
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition
  • Monitor and report any issues with equipment performance or safety

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Six months of experience in construction, maintenance, or repairs of roadways, bridges, and operating heavy and light construction equipment
