Janitorial Associate

Job Overview:

Qualifications for a Warehouse/Janitorial Worker:

  • Ability to walk for 8-10 hours daily.
  • Capable of standing for 8-12 hours, including bending and kneeling.
  • Prior experience in a janitorial role within a warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Must possess experience in operating a forklift.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions accurately.

Additional Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred, along with experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
  • Ability to identify products by various attributes such as size, type, and color.
  • Competence in reading and matching orders with shipping tickets.
  • Basic mathematical and reasoning skills are necessary.
  • Certification for operating power-truck equipment is required.
  • Experience with inventory control systems, including bar-coding and handheld devices.

Physical Demands:

The position requires the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. without assistance and endure extreme temperatures typical of a warehouse environment. The role involves significant time spent standing, walking, lifting, pulling, and pushing, and may necessitate climbing ladders for accessing high storage areas. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
