Job Description

At Twitter, we're committed to protecting the public conversation and promoting a safe and inclusive online environment. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Privacy Engineer to join our team and help us embed sound technical privacy practices in everything we ship.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate privacy risks in our products and services.
  • Develop and implement robust privacy-preserving technologies and solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to ensure that our systems and designs prioritize user privacy and security.
  • Identify and address common hurdles and solutions to effective privacy and security in large-scale systems.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical privacy review and analysis.
  • Strong domain knowledge of privacy and security principles and practices.
  • Ability to grasp business, user, and technical requirements and identify sophisticated privacy dependencies in large-scale systems.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy into product designs.
  • Ability to coach teammates as customer and value-focused privacy engineers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • History of handling privacy incidents through investigation, fixes, and resolution.
  • Experience in human-centric threat modeling, data anonymization, and/or other privacy-preserving techniques, processes, or technologies.
  • Experience in code review in one or more general-purpose languages.
  • Experience with developing or debugging microservice architectures or distributed systems.
