Hospice of the Chesapeake is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Manager to join our team. As a Clinical Manager, you will be responsible for leading and guiding staff in the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Serve as a role model in clinical specialty, demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, technical skills, and knowledge base to lead and guide staff.
  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate clinical expertise in the execution of the nursing process and direct staff in its application to promote safe, effective, and appropriate care.
  • Staff Management: Hire, supervise, evaluate, and mentor staff assigned to your team, including creating and overseeing a plan of professional development for each staff member.
  • Quality Improvement: Evaluate the quality of patient care through direct staff observation and review of nursing documentation, review of medical records, and patient feedback.
  • Education and Role Modeling: Ensure that staff understands and exhibits the hospice philosophy of palliative care through education and role modeling.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or behavioral health required.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience in a nursing home, assisted living center, or other post-acute, long-term care, or similar facility required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other community programs and resources. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, required.
