- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrate clinical expertise in the execution of the nursing process and direct staff in its application to promote safe, effective, and appropriate care.
- Staff Management: Hire, supervise, evaluate, and mentor staff assigned to your team, including creating and overseeing a plan of professional development for each staff member.
- Quality Improvement: Evaluate the quality of patient care through direct staff observation and review of nursing documentation, review of medical records, and patient feedback.
- Education and Role Modeling: Ensure that staff understands and exhibits the hospice philosophy of palliative care through education and role modeling.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or behavioral health required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience in a nursing home, assisted living center, or other post-acute, long-term care, or similar facility required.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and other community programs and resources. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, required.
