Job Summary:The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe operation of heavy equipment at our recycling facility, landfill, or transfer station. The successful candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operation and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate heavy equipment, including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable materials and take corrective action as needed.
- Continuously monitor the condition of equipment and perform minor service and repairs as necessary.
- Complete equipment condition reports and other documentation as required.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Two years of prior experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Good time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adhere to company policies and rules, and promote a safe working environment.
