Job Overview
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for Marines and their families through a comprehensive support program. We foster a collaborative environment that includes military personnel, civilian staff, contractors, and volunteers, all working together to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and maintaining lodging corridors, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
  • Collaborating with laundry staff and housekeeping teams to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Transporting soiled and clean linens between laundry facilities and housekeeping closets.
  • Performing floor maintenance including dry and wet mopping.
  • Utilizing safety signage and adhering to safety protocols during cleaning tasks.
  • Thoroughly sanitizing public and employee restrooms, including all surfaces.
  • Cleaning breakfast areas, including appliances, tables, and floors.
  • Using ladders to clean ceiling fixtures and windows, as well as dusting drapes and blinds.
  • Reporting any missing or damaged items to the supervisor.
  • Assisting with deep cleaning projects and mattress rotations as needed.
  • Delivering amenities and other items to guests as directed.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the housekeeping cart.
  • Collecting lost items from guest rooms and following proper procedures for lost and found.

Qualifications and Skills
Candidates should possess:

  • Knowledge of various cleaning and sanitizing solutions and their appropriate applications.
  • Ability to operate floor and carpet cleaning machinery safely.
  • Capability to follow written instructions and labels.

Work Environment
This position involves physical labor, including standing, bending, and lifting. The role is primarily indoors, with exposure to cleaning solutions and equipment vibrations.
