Job Title: Histology Technician

We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team at Cynet Health. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex histologic procedures, including processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special stains, and immunohistochemistry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality control on completed slides and identify any issues that may affect diagnosis and results.
  • Document maintenance of instruments and equipment used in the lab.
  • Comply with established laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Record observations from tests accurately.
  • Complete 16 hours of orientation.
Additional Information:
  • This position is based at a teaching hospital and is part of a magnet and Level 1 Trauma facility with 865 staffed beds.
  • Charting is conducted using Epic.
  • There is a focus on emergency response during hurricane season, which runs from June through November, with peak activity in August and September.
  • Flu vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions only.
