Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate thermoforming machinery safely and efficiently, in line with company policies and customer requirements.
  • Oversee the daily operations of a designated machine production team, focusing on safety, quality, and maximizing productivity while minimizing waste and downtime.
  • Support the Supervisor and Team Leader in training and mentoring team members.
Essential Duties
  • Adhere to all safety and organizational guidelines, ensuring a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Encourage safe working practices among colleagues.
  • Handle company equipment and property responsibly.
  • Utilize the Business Management System (BMS) effectively, including monitoring schedules and maintaining accurate operational data.
  • Perform all tasks related to the operation of thermoforming machines to produce high-quality finished products, coordinating with support staff to minimize downtime and ensure efficient changeovers.
  • Ensure all products meet production, quality, and technical standards through regular QA testing and inspections.
  • Keep management informed of any critical issues affecting safety, quality, or production.
  • Engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting in collaboration with the team and support staff.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and records, including tool boards and audits.
  • Assist in managing breaks and lunches for production teams.
  • Complete training and certification as a Thermoforming Operator.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for production staff.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by management to support overall plant operations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost-saving projects.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proven experience operating thermoforming equipment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members to achieve production goals while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Certification as an Assistant Thermoforming Operator through successful completion of training.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Capability to install and secure forming and trimming tools.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Able to work in a warm environment.
