As a key member of our team, the Transportation Specialist will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to students, while also performing general maintenance duties throughout the center.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Model Company Core Values and operating principles at all times.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Adhere to all PRH and CSD policies and procedures, as well as Center Operating Procedures.
- Transport students to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, and courts.
- Transport equipment and commodities to the center.
- Inspect vehicles and report any mechanical issues to the Lead Driver/Dispatcher or Facilities Manager.
- Supervise students on activities such as recreation, medical appointments, shopping trips, and more.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all Center vehicles.
- Perform duties of a maintenance worker and/or custodian as needed, including ground keeping, snow removal, and custodial duties.
- Attend required staff training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Some high school education and the ability to fluently read and write English.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to qualify for company-sponsored vehicle insurance.
- A CDL/Passenger bus endorsement.
- Preferred qualifications include six months of work-related experience and a HSE/GED/HSD.
You will need to possess:
- A valid State driver's license and commercial driver's license with passenger bus endorsement.
- The ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid certificate.
- The ability to operate power tools.
