CDL Highway Laborer

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking skilled CDL Laborers for our highway maintenance crew. As a CDL Highway Laborer, you will conduct various highway maintenance services and other related tasks under close supervision.

• Operate various forms of heavy highway equipment, including skid steer and dump truck.
• Clean and grade ditches, drainage structures, highway road shoulders, and slopes.
• Repair work includes repair of fences, sign repair, litter debris removal, and other highway maintenance activities, including emergency response.
• Use all equipment safely and efficiently.
• Mow and clear brush from roadsides.
• Patch broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with 3 years clean MVR required.
• Strong equipment operations skills preferred.
• Ability to lift fifty to sixty pounds (50 - 60lbs.).
• Experience operating skid steer and dump truck preferred.
• Highway maintenance or construction skills are preferred.
• Ability to obtain ATSSA certification in the installation of traffic control.
• Be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.
