About the Role

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality speech therapy services to pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct regular assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Develop and implement programmatic initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing patient needs and priorities.
