Role Overview:

The Cloud Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in crafting and steering the design and execution of cloud-based solutions tailored for Digital Financial Solutions offerings. This position requires close collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture team and engagement with various project teams across software delivery, technical operations, enterprise technology, security, cloud governance, and client support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with product management, technology, and development teams to foster collaboration.
  • Operate within an iterative and agile framework.
  • Partner with client and sales teams to architect and propose solutions leveraging diverse cloud platforms and service offerings.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on cloud service utilization across divisions, products, teams, and individuals.
  • Provide technical guidance for addressing intricate cloud platform configuration, integration, implementation, performance, and security challenges.
  • Oversee the application of cloud technologies across both existing and new product lines.
  • Implement automated and infrastructure-as-code methodologies to deliver solutions.
  • Lead the exploration and integration of new technologies into current and future products.
  • Create reusable components, integrate them with other services, and conduct integration testing.
  • Establish and uphold coding standards to improve development and maintenance processes.
  • Support QA teams by clarifying functional requirements and reviewing test scenarios.
  • Take ownership of system components, driving ongoing expansion, reuse, and enhancement.
  • Analyze and resolve issues across all levels of the technology stack.
  • Produce clean, secure, maintainable, and well-documented code, while actively participating in regular code reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with delivery teams to address bugs and enhance application performance.
  • Optimize applications and infrastructure for improved performance, scalability, security, and user experience.
  • Continuously research, evaluate, and implement new tools and technologies to enhance development efficiency.
  • Adhere to agile development methodologies and DevOps practices with an agile mindset.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in delivering enterprise customer-facing distributed solutions.
  • At least 6 years of experience in the financial services sector or other highly regulated fields.
  • 6+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, either directly or indirectly.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with customers to analyze, validate, specify, verify, document, and manage solution requirements.
  • Experience in managing cloud platforms for .NET/Java applications.
  • Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and other container management technologies.
  • Practical experience with public cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Familiarity with orchestration and automation tools such as Kubernetes, Spinnaker, Terraform, Jenkins, Harness, Octopus Deploy, Concourse, Chef, and Puppet.
  • Agile mindset with experience leading enterprise agile teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possession of one or more cloud platform certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent.
  • Experience with commercial CI/CD solutions like Azure Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
