Salary

$19-21 per hour, based on education level and prior experience, PLUS a generous benefits package including 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and medical/dental/vision benefits.

Job Description

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a critical role in administering breakthrough behavioral health care services, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and esketamine therapy.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administering TMS or esketamine therapy, in accordance with all provider-established clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Monitoring all aspects of TMS and esketamine treatments to ensure patient wellbeing and clinical accuracy
  • Reviewing and administering psychiatric rating scales (i.e., PHQ-9, QIDS-SR16) to patients
  • Identifying and resolving any issues related to patient discomfort during treatment using FDA pre-approved guidance from device manufacturer(s) or applicable medication protocols and in accordance with all clinical provider directives
  • Delivering exceptional patient care at all times by demonstrating empathy, developing trust, utilizing reflecting listening, and providing support to a vulnerable patient population
  • Recording all treatment session notes and documents in EHR, collaborating with other team members and/or providers as needed
  • Scheduling patients (both over the phone and in person), as well as conducting patient checkout procedures including collecting applicable co-payments and relaying discharge instructions
  • Maintaining understanding of general insurance and billing procedures to support related workflows and requests, as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and at least one year of experience working in a patient care or mental health office setting or operating room setting, OR
  • A High School Diploma, Associate Degree, Medical Assistant or other clinical certification may be considered with additional years of solid work experience

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and EHR systems, preferably AdvancedMD and SalesForce
  • Knowledge of marketplace insurance payers and medical necessity guidelines highly recommended but not required
  • Clinical Interviewing
  • Basic Life Support Certification - will be provided
