This professional is responsible for prescribing, delegating, coordinating, supervising, and assessing patient education, as well as overseeing the activities of ancillary nursing staff while upholding the standards of nursing practice.
The Registered Nurse is equipped to provide both direct and indirect patient care, ensuring the highest quality of service.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must be a graduate from a State Board of Nursing or an equivalent program.
- Experience: A minimum of six months of experience is preferred.
Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations:
- Registered Nurse (RN): Must hold a valid RN license to practice in the state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Certification required within two weeks of employment.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS): Certification required within eight weeks of employment.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Certification required within twelve months of employment.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC): Required within twelve months of employment.
- Arrhythmia Recognition Course: Must be completed within eight weeks of employment.
