Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and determine parts necessary for repairs; review repair orders and estimator notes; adhere to insurance protocols; inform supervisor of any additional repair requirements
  • Modify, replace, and repair various vehicle components (including sheet metal, fiberglass, and structural welding)
  • Execute work as detailed in repair estimates with precision and efficiency, meeting dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Disassemble and inspect vehicles for any hidden or additional damage
  • Communicate with body shop estimator regarding any extra damage or supplemental repair needs, or if repairs may not be completed on schedule
  • Guide apprentice technicians and uphold I-CAR certifications
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in welding, suspension, and framework
  • I-CAR Certifications in Damage Analysis and Estimating, Non-Structural Analysis and Damage Repair
  • Relevant certifications or equivalent experience with a willingness to enhance skills
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
