Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the William S. Hart Union High School District. The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy services to students with special needs, working under the direction of the Director of Special Education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments to determine the level of need for occupational therapy services
  • Develop educationally relevant therapeutic plans, including goals that align with the student's educational program
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other healthcare providers to ensure effective intervention
  • Provide in-service training and continuing professional development to teachers and staff
  • Modify and design adaptive equipment to enhance students' ability to access learning and technology
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field
  • Valid California Occupational Therapist license and registration by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Minimum of one year of practicum and/or experience providing occupational therapy services
  • Valid California driver's license
Working Conditions

The work environment is indoors, with some physical effort required. The successful candidate must be able to function effectively in a classroom and office environment, with the ability to move to various locations and perform tasks that require ambulatory ability, hand-arm motion, and visual and auditory skills.
