* Assist in the supervision and direction of a chemical laboratory, ensuring that all laboratory operations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
* Carry out chemistry-related research projects, including the development and implementation of new laboratory methods and procedures.
* Participate in complex and difficult tests and analyses, including the analysis of water and wastewater samples.
* Supervise and mentor subordinate staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that they are able to perform their duties effectively.
* Develop and implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control procedures to ensure that all laboratory operations are conducted in accordance with established standards.
