Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing exceptional respiratory care tailored to the needs of patients, adhering to departmental standards and practices. As an integral part of the healthcare team, you will:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluation of breath sounds and airway integrity.
  • Administer various respiratory therapies, such as oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
  • Assist in the placement of artificial airways and manage mechanical ventilation.
  • Monitor patient responses to therapies and communicate effectively with healthcare providers regarding any changes.
  • Support the safe transportation of patients requiring ventilatory assistance.
  • Act promptly in emergency situations to maintain airway and ventilation during resuscitation efforts.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • An Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or State Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.
