Role Summary
As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will deliver care to a diverse patient population throughout our facility. Collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, you will rotate through various units, including Critical Care, Emergency Services, and Medical-Surgical departments.
Unit Highlights:
- Enhance your nursing skills by working in multiple departments, including ICU, Step-Down, and Medical-Surgical units.
- Receive competitive compensation along with shift differentials.
- Work in both critical and non-critical care environments.
- Flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Director for the assigned unit.
- Provide both therapeutic and administrative services essential for patient care, aligning with the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
- Care for critically ill patients in accordance with the Float Pool agreement.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the relevant state(s) of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within two months of hire.
- Minimum of five years of critical care experience in areas such as ICU, PACU, or Emergency Services.
