Role Summary

As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will deliver care to a diverse patient population throughout our facility. Collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, you will rotate through various units, including Critical Care, Emergency Services, and Medical-Surgical departments.

Unit Highlights:

  • Enhance your nursing skills by working in multiple departments, including ICU, Step-Down, and Medical-Surgical units.
  • Receive competitive compensation along with shift differentials.

  • Flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Director for the assigned unit.
  • Provide both therapeutic and administrative services essential for patient care, aligning with the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
  • Care for critically ill patients in accordance with the Float Pool agreement.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the relevant state(s) of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required within two months of hire.
  • Minimum of five years of critical care experience in areas such as ICU, PACU, or Emergency Services.
