Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary/Dietary Aide to join our team at Kennybrook Village in Grimes, IA. The successful candidate will ensure our residents and guests receive nutritious meals, perform designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department, and help create a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience in our communities.

Responsibilities
  • Help create a restaurant-style dining experience through serving meals, customer service, and collaboration.
  • Follow written and oral instructions, follow diet orders/tray cards and work assignments.
  • Ensure that meal orders are delivered accurately, and any special request or dietary restrictions are noted and followed.
  • Perform defined work routines.
  • Assist with cleaning routines after meals have ended and setting up for next meal.
  • Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies as directed by Culinary Director.
  • Attend scheduled department meetings.
  • Attend educational programs.
  • Follow defined safety codes while performing duties.
  • Follow Infection Control procedures.
  • Understand community's fire and disaster plans; follow established procedures during drills and actual emergencies.
  • Be knowledgeable of federal, state, and community's rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
Qualifications

The Dietary Aide / Server should be a high school graduate or have an equivalent education (GED). Safe Serve certification is encouraged but not required.
