Position Summary:
The Lead Cardiac Catheterization Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team that utilizes advanced imaging technologies to assess arterial health and monitor blood flow to and from the heart.
This role is crucial in providing essential information that aids in the diagnosis and management of arterial blockages and related conditions, often allowing for non-surgical interventions.
As a key leader, this position ensures that all clinical operations adhere to established regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Evaluates the performance of the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring quality by reviewing reports for both internal committees and external regulatory compliance, thereby supporting cardiovascular disease diagnosis and treatment.
2. Guarantees that the lab meets all necessary compliance and regulatory standards set forth by both internal and external bodies.
3. Assesses the needs for capital equipment and contributes to the development of justifications and recommendations.
4. Promotes interdepartmental collaboration, fostering strong clinical partnerships and enhancing physician-hospital relationships to improve patient experiences and operational efficiency.
5. Maintains strict adherence to regulatory standards to protect patient safety and uphold institutional integrity.
6. Performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related Allied Health field, or to be obtained within four years of employment.
Experience:
Required: Minimum of five years in a relevant field.
Licensure/Certification:
Required: Must possess credentials from one of the following programs: Nursing, Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology Program. This requirement may be waived for individuals who were employed in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab prior to the implementation of this hiring requirement. If waived, a High School Diploma or equivalent is necessary; must also be credentialed as a Paramedic in NC.
