About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Evening Cook to join our kitchen team at the Holiday Inn. As a key member of our food preparation team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing food in a timely manner, adhering to portion and quality standards specified in recipes.
  • Inventory Management: Control food usage to minimize waste and advise supervisors of low inventory items.
  • Sanitation and Cleanliness: Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in the kitchen area, meeting or exceeding local health and safety regulations.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service.
  • Guest Interaction: May interact directly with guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and move about the kitchen.
  • Communication Skills: Basic reading, writing, and math skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Food Preparation Experience: Some food preparation experience or training is preferred.
