Job Summary

The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in the Medical/Surgical Pulmonary Renal Hospitalist department, overseeing coordination, planning, and administrative management duties. This position requires collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division to ensure seamless patient care and transitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor professional caregivers in delivering patient care and facilitating patient access, communication, and transitions.
  • Provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift of work.
  • Assure competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
  • Collaborate with other service and department leaders to attain short- and long-term goals and objectives.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. A strong understanding of patient care and hospital operations is essential, as is the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
