Job Summary

The Desktop Support Specialist will provide technical support and maintenance for the Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center's computer systems and equipment. This role will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues, as well as providing training and orientation to staff on the use of hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ticket Queue Management: Primarily responsible for first response, evaluation, prioritization, documentation, resolution, or escalation of user-reported issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Determine the source and nature of hardware/software issues throughout the organization.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a positive, professional, and constructive attitude when interacting with customers.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Responsible for the configuration, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning of HRRMC PCs, laptops, tablets, and peripherals.
  • Training and Development: Responsible for training and orienting staff on the use of hardware and software.
  • On-Call Support: Prepared to work outside of regular hours when required and to provide on-call support to support the 24x7 nature of the hospital per the rotation schedule.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience: One to three years of IS systems support experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.
