About the Role

The Environmental Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing project permitting strategies, plans, schedules, and budgets to safely achieve environmental objectives. This role involves managing stormwater systems, securing necessary permits, and providing guidance to project teams.

This position requires strong leadership skills and experience in the environmental compliance field, particularly in the construction and industrial sectors. The successful candidate will have a strong working knowledge of U.S. and State of Virginia Environmental regulations and experience with energy management programs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project permitting strategies, plans, schedules, and budgets to safely achieve environmental objectives.
  • Manage stormwater systems and secure necessary permits from environmental agencies.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on environmental aspects and impacts and best practices.
  • Identify permitting requirements and timelines and secure permits to support overall project schedule.
  • Guide and promote compliant work performance by developing environmental systems, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' progressive professional experience in the Environmental Compliance Field.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. and State of Virginia Environmental regulations.
  • Experience and working knowledge of energy management programs.
  • Effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
