Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Trident Medical Center. As a PCU Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with medical providers to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Collaborate with medical providers to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Respond to Code Blue situations and initiate protocol, special procedures, and cardiac monitoring as needed
  • Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exams, and arranging testing and admissions
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when necessary
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Health Care Provider certification preferred and required to be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer date
  • Minimum of one year previous acute care Registered Nurse experience
