LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Gynecology and Breast Oncology Clinics - Stephenson Cancer Center - Part-Time

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Stephenson Cancer Center. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Our Gynecology Oncology Clinic is an outpatient ambulatory facility with 11-15 providers, and we are passionate about advancing patient care through research.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications safely under the direction of a physician or other medical personnel.
- Observe, record, and report patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
- Provide care according to an established nursing plan.
- Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Ensure patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely manner and forwarding charts as appropriate.
- Communicate systematic report to other care providers.
- Assist in the coordination of care delivery; utilize resources to promote the continuum of care.
- Employ strategies to promote health in a safe environment.
- Document progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
- Use quality and evidence-based practice to deliver and improve care.
- Triage telephone calls for referral to other clinical team members.
- Infusion/Treatment Depts: demonstrate knowledge and skills in chemotherapy/biotherapy and blood products.
- Radiation Oncology Depts: demonstrate knowledge of radiation therapies and procedures, including side effect and symptom management.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in aspects of IV therapy and hydration.
- Manage patient care based on knowledge of cancer, cancer treatment, and side effects of such treatment.
- Current LPN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact LPN License (eNLC) required.
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, coordinate, plan, and evaluate nursing needs of assigned patients.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
