  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with news producers and team members to ensure stories are accurate, impactful, and align with the station's standards and policies.
  • Ethical Standards: Maintain the highest ethical standards in all reporting aspects, ensuring fairness, accuracy, and sensitivity to report subjects, particularly vulnerable populations or sensitive topics.
  • Audience Engagement: Connect with the Hispanic local audience through social media, community events, and public appearances to foster trust and rapport. Address viewer feedback and inquiries related to investigative reports.
  • Legal Considerations: Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all investigative reporting adheres to legal requirements, including defamation laws, privacy concerns, and copyright issues.
  • Technology and Tools: Employ advanced technology and investigative tools, including data analysis software, to enhance reporting. Stay informed about the latest tools and methods in investigative journalism.
Qualifications:
  • Education: BA or BS in Journalism or a related field. A master's degree or specialized training in investigative journalism is advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in investigative reporting, preferably within Hispanic or Spanish-language media.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is highly preferred.
  • Research Skills: Strong research capabilities with the ability to analyze data, conduct interviews, and verify information from various sources.
  • Storytelling: Exceptional storytelling skills, with a deep understanding of how to engage the Hispanic audience through culturally relevant and captivating content.
