About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Assistant 2 to join our Medical Surgical Observation Unit at Spectrum Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our nursing staff in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and mobility assistance.
- Assist with patient transportation and transfers, ensuring safe and efficient movement.
- Document patient care and services provided in the electronic medical record.
- Perform general receptionist and clerical duties to support the efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification required.
- Current CNA certification preferred.
