As a Catering to You Associate, you will play a vital role in assisting our patients with menu selections and working closely with our Food and Nutrition Department. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and current information for each patient on assigned units.
- Demonstrate knowledge of modified diets, proper condiments, and related restrictions for diets based on passing a written test provided by clinical staff.
- Assist Dietitian with monitoring of patients who are NPO, on liquid diets, or need to have intake recorded.
- Accurately and effectively adapt to Physician-ordered modified patient diets and ensure an efficient timing of services by providing quality patient customer service.
- Assist patients with menu selections and work hand-in-hand with our Food and Nutrition Department with assembling selected meals on trays and with the delivery and pick-up of meal trays.
- Communicate any patient/resident-related problems to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Customer service skills.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers.
- Exceptional focus on teamwork.
- Dedication to ongoing education.
- Ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus.
