About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pain Management Specialist - Surgical Territory Lead to join our team at Avanos Medical. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering clinically superior breakthrough solutions that will help patients get back to the things that matter.

As a Pain Management Specialist - Surgical Territory Lead, you will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales objectives of our Surgical Pain products, including On-Q and Ambit Pump Pumps. You will work closely with Health Care Professionals and business leaders in hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and clinics in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with surgeons, physicians, therapists, nurses, clinicians, department decision makers and/or administrators within assigned accounts or markets
  • Be present during surgical procedures to answer product-related questions in an O.R. setting
  • Closing new sales opportunities and generating new customer leads while actively protecting existing market share
  • Actively participate with Regional Manager in the strategic and tactical planning process
  • Sales positioning, analysis, and in-servicing of product categories that address customers' pain points
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or any related field
  • At least four years of demonstrated success in sales, with at least two of those years in medical sales calling on surgeons, hospitals, and ASCs
  • At least one year of experience in an operating room setting
  • Understanding of the hospital/ASC buying process including the role of GPO's, IDN's, and Distributors
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including but not limited to fee for service, value-based care, and alternative payment methods

What We Offer
  • Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on location and experience
  • Generous 401(k) employer match of 100% of each pretax dollar contributed on the first 4% and 50% of the next 2% of pay
  • Benefits on day 1, including uncapped sales commissions
