Role Summary
This entry-level Surgical Technician role involves supporting the surgical team in the Operating Room, ensuring optimal patient care throughout the surgical process. You will assist surgeons by providing necessary instruments and maintaining an organized surgical environment, adhering to the established policies and procedures of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintain professional conduct while assisting in various surgical procedures.
  2. Uphold strict aseptic techniques during surgical preparations and procedures.
  3. Participate actively in surgeries by organizing instruments and assisting in counts.
  4. Prepare and select appropriate instruments and supplies for surgical cases.
  5. Assist with patient positioning and transportation as required.
  6. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a seamless workflow.
  7. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a surgical technologist or completion of a military surgical technology program, or graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech Program.
  • Less than 12 months of healthcare experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
