About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Installation Team Lead to join our team at Freedom Forever. As a key member of our branch operations team, you will be responsible for leading a crew to perform residential solar system installations for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Oversight: Oversee on-site solar installation projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Team Management: Motivate and supervise the installation crew to achieve productivity and quality goals.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure that the company vehicle is equipped with required tools and accurate materials inventory.
  • Installation Direction: Provide clear installation directions to members of the crew.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all work is performed safely with quality workmanship and in compliance with Freedom Forever policies and applicable codes.
  • Communication: Communicate any changes needed for the installation and coordinate with the team to ensure a smooth process.
  • Documentation: Complete job-specific documents and collect data and photos for each job.
  • Cleanup and Maintenance: Coordinate and participate in the cleanup of job sites and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements
  • Experience: One year of solar installation experience, including 6 months leading a crew.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and supervise others in a team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Experience and skill using power tools and hand tools, and able to teach others.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and commitment to productivity.
  • Physical Demands: Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined areas. Physically able to handle materials and equipment related to installation.
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
