Position Summary

Join our dedicated team at Arnold Machinery as a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, supported by a skilled workforce. Our Shop Service Technicians play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation by ensuring that our machinery is in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble heavy machinery.
  • Assist with the shipping and receiving processes, including unloading trucks and verifying merchandise.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace by keeping areas tidy and performing regular cleaning tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment, including cleanliness and pre-inspections.
  • Repair and service heavy machinery as needed.
  • Utilize forklifts and overhead cranes for moving components during repairs.
  • Assess parts for reusability or replacement and order new components as necessary.
  • Employ diagnostic tools to adjust machinery and systems effectively.
  • Provide warranty recommendations and reports for primary products.
  • Perform minor welding, fabrication, and plumbing tasks.
  • Assist in various shop areas as required based on workload.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Dependable and reliable work ethic.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.
  • General mechanical knowledge is essential.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Frequent walking and movement across uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to lift over 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Use of hands and arms for operating tools and equipment.
  • Climbing in and out of machinery.
  • Reading work orders and service manuals.
  • Effective communication through various channels.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
