As an Operating Room Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical suites.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in all aspects of the operative process under the direction of a Supervisor/Charge/Circulating/Scrub RN/LVN, ensuring seamless execution of surgical procedures.
- Exhibit detailed knowledge of surgical instruments and prescribed procedures to provide surgeons with the appropriate sterile surgical instruments and supplies, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.
- Scrub in for all types of obstetrical related cases, turn over operating rooms between cases, and maintain equipment in the operating rooms, post anesthesia recovery rooms, labor rooms, and OB Triage bays, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Attend vaginal births under the direction of the Supervisor/Charge/Labor RN, supporting the patient, instruments, and supplies required for delivery and clean-up of the patient and room following the procedure, demonstrating empathy and compassion for patients and their families.
- High school diploma/GED required, with a strong foundation in sciences and mathematics.
- Minimum six months of OB/perinatal care or surgical scrub experience, or graduation from a recognized Surgical Technician program, with a proven track record of success in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- PREFERRED: Six months to one year of surgical scrub experience, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
