About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to work as an Independent Contractor in the Hayward area. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs, developing treatment plans, and providing interventions to improve patient functioning and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Provide services defined by state laws governing the practice of Occupational Therapy, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.
- Lead patients in the use of therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
- Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment and changes to patient condition.
- Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and the healthcare team in areas of therapy in which they can participate in assisting the patient.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages.
- Occupational Therapist license and registration by the state.
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
- Bilingual is a plus.
