Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Aide Lead to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of meals to patients, cafeteria, catering, and other areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and set-up of assigned food for patients and employees, following cycle menus, modified menus, and standardized recipes.
  • Assemble patient food trays according to dietary needs and deliver and retrieve patient food trays.
  • Prepare items for meal service in the cafeteria and maintain the area during meal service.
  • Assist patients and families with menu selection and communication to kitchen staff.
  • Set up catered meals and snacks as scheduled and operate a cash register.
  • Assist in putting away grocery orders and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred, along with some experience in food service and/or modified diets.

Physical Demands

  • Medium Work: Lifting weight up to 50 lbs. occasionally, up to 25 lbs. frequently.
