Job Summary:

Herbert Rowland & Grubic is seeking a highly skilled Water & Wastewater Construction Inspector II to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Water & Wastewater Construction Inspector II, you will be responsible for conducting on-site observations of construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, and providing recommendations to project managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site observations of construction projects to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Document and report any non-compliance issues.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure all items are completed or corrected and make recommendations to project managers.
  • Draft proposed change orders and work directive changes.
  • Review project schedules, schedules of shop drawing submittals, and schedules of values prepared by contractors.
  • Maintain field observation reports, including photographs.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in construction observation and administration relative to water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience in construction observation and/or management for storm water, site grading, paving, and highway projects.
  • Basic survey, grade, and cut sheets, and quantity data.
  • NICET certification, desired.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license to travel to job sites, meetings, and/or company offices.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.
