Job Summary

Venesco LLC is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to provide mental health services to military members and their families at a military medical center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, psychological testing, and collateral sources to inform diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Diagnose and treat major psychiatric disorders in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment modalities, including psychopharmacology and interactive psychotherapies, in an outpatient setting.
  • Provide timely and accurate psychiatric consultation to commanders in acute situations.
  • Render fitness/suitability for duty determinations and ensure that members referred for security clearances, flying operations, and special assignments are mentally fit for responsibility.
  • Conduct professional training activities for mental health staff, interns, students, and residents in accordance with established guidelines.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program or one acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship/residency in Professional Psychology or an internship/residency acceptable to the Office of the Surgeon General, U.S. Air Force.
  • At least one year of experience as a licensed Psychologist, with 5 years preferred but less acceptable.
  • Current license to practice psychology in any of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands, and certification in Basic Life Support accredited through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $140,000 to $150,000.
