Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician Mechanic to join our team at Ryder. As a Senior Level Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities:

Perform standard vehicle maintenance and preventive maintenance
Diagnose complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable
Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision
Replace defective components as instructed
Perform facility maintenance duties
Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
Basic tools, required
Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventative maintenance, basic diagnostics and repairs, and complex mechanical inspections and repairs
Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
All other certification as required by location, required
