Position Overview: This role is situated at a leading medical facility, where we prioritize the development of our healthcare professionals. Responsibilities:
  • Sonographers are expected to be proficient in performing Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs), stress echocardiograms, and administering contrast and bubble studies.
  • Work settings include the Operating Room, Catheterization Lab, Intensive Care Unit, and outpatient clinics.
  • Engage in a collaborative environment, providing education and training to fellows, residents, and student sonographers.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and patient care, ensuring all procedures are conducted with precision and professionalism.

Department Insights: Our facility fosters a culture of learning and collaboration, with a focus on continuous improvement. The echocardiography department operates within a large hospital setting, providing diverse experiences and opportunities for professional growth.

Work Schedule: Flexible hours from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including occasional weekends. On-call duties are available but not mandatory.

Position Summary: This specialized role involves assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions, playing a crucial part in identifying heart-related issues and supporting physicians in their clinical decisions.

Core Functions:
  1. Execute procedures based on provider orders, utilizing independent judgment and established protocols.
  2. Deliver high-quality imaging and ensure timely interpretation of results.
  3. Conduct equipment quality control and maintain a safe environment for all.
  4. Act as a clinical resource, providing training and education to staff and students.
  5. Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Allied Health Cardiovascular program is required, along with national certification as a Cardiac Sonographer. A minimum of one to two years of clinical experience is preferred, along with effective communication and problem-solving skills. BLS certification is mandatory.
