Assembly Technician - Night Shift

Sulzer Pumps (US) Inc. is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in Easley, SC. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and painting pumps in a team environment while following quality and safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assemble process pumps according to bill of materials and work instructions
  • Perform hydrostatic tests and pump performance tests according to work instructions
  • Paint pumps and spare parts according to order and work instructions
  • Perform in-process quality inspections as described in quality plans and work instructions
  • Follow quality procedures according to ISO 9001
Safety Obligations:
  • Understand and explain the structure and objectives of the Safety Business Plan (SBP)
  • Follow safety rules and procedures
  • Intervene in the event of a safety concern and accept interventions positively
  • Comply with all work instructions, policies, and posted signs or instructions regarding safety
Secondary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in 5S and housekeeping assignments
  • Take part in the Preventive Maintenance program
  • Assist other team members as directed, including training and assisting less experienced coworkers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work in both English and Metric dimensioning
  • Good people skills and ability to solve problems in a team environment
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Lift 50 lbs (excess of 50 lbs, use of slings, hoist or cranes required)
    • Stand for extended periods of time (up to 12hrs)
    • Don required PPE for all operations included in the scope of this job
