Position Overview

Compensation: Starting salary ranges from xx39.91 to xx54.86/hr based on experience (2-30 years) and certifications. Additional pay for CT certification and applicable shift differentials.

Agency Fee: 15% for offers exceeding xx50/hr, 17% for offers between xx35-$49/hr, and 20% for offers below xx35/hr.

Relocation Incentive: Eligible candidates may receive a relocation bonus of $20,000, distributed in two installments:

  • $10,000 after the first full week of work.
  • $10,000 upon completing six months of employment.
  • $20,000 is designated for out-of-state relocations.
  • $15,000 is available for in-state relocations.
Key Responsibilities

The Mammography Technologist will:

  • Collaborate with the Medical Imaging team to produce clinical radiographs as per physician or radiologist directives, adhering to established standards.
  • Manage daily regulatory compliance and certification in mammography alongside the Director of Imaging.
  • Deliver direct patient care and radiology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide training and mentorship to radiology technologists undergoing cross-training in mammography.
Requirements

  • ARRT R certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum age of eighteen (18) years.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training program and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is necessary.
  • Annual maintenance of ARRT registration is required.
  • Certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists is essential.
  • At least eight hours of training in digital mammography and eight hours in digital breast tomosynthesis, with recent experience in Mammography and general Radiology.
  • Must stay current with CEU credits as mandated by ARRT and specific Mammography CEU credits as required by ACR and MQSA.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and maintain prolonged standing, walking, stooping, and sitting.
Certification and Licensing
  • ARRT certification is required.
  • State license for Alaska is necessary.
