Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Intern to join our team at Eversource Energy. As an Operations Intern, you will play a critical role in supporting our Field Operations group and contributing to the development of our IT applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and store daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to Field Operations' performance in Safety, Reliability, Budget, and Customer Satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage IT applications to provide easy access and interpretation of reports.
  • Interpret reports to identify patterns and trends, and provide strategic direction to leadership.
  • Monitor industry activities and propose independent learning opportunities for assigned business area employees.
  • Develop training presentations and procedural manuals for management.
  • Evaluate business processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide storm performance analytics support during major storm events.
  • Serve as a liaison between Field Operations and IT.
  • Determine IT needs and access for Western Division management and assess the effectiveness of existing department programs.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in related fields: Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization and outside organizations.
  • Ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to draw sound conclusions and act decisively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
