Job Description:

As a Pharmacist (Full or Part Time) at Walgreens, you will play a critical role in providing pharmacy and healthcare services to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to provide patient care services, including medication therapy management, immunizations, and disease state management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient counseling and education on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
  • Conduct medication therapy reviews and make recommendations to improve patient outcomes.
  • Administer immunizations and provide disease state management services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Manage pharmacy operations, including inventory management and workflow optimization.

Requirements:

  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
