OVERVIEW

Execute a diverse range of accounting, tax, and auditing tasks. Participate in all facets of the firm's tax, consulting, and audit services. Collaborate closely with the Partner-in-Charge on various engagements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Document transactions in ledgers; generate trial balances and basic financial statements utilizing accounting software.
  • Reconcile accounts with control accounts.
  • Conduct regular calculations of accruals, property and equipment, and determine depreciation expenses.
  • Prepare business and individual income tax returns, including client meetings.
  • Assist in reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and other documents.
  • Support responses to various tax authorities.
  • Provide QuickBooks consulting and maintain software proficiency.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of comprehensive financial statements and related reports for clients, including reviews and compilations.
  • Perform additional accounting and tax duties as required in engagements and as directed by Partners.
  • Prepare payroll and sales tax returns.
  • Execute all audit functions and tests as outlined in applicable audit programs.
  • Assign specific audit programs and responsibilities, offering training to junior staff members, and review workpapers, financial statements, and reports prior to final review.
  • Draft proposals and responses to bid requests for potential audit clients, as well as fee estimates for tax, payroll, and accounting services.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of all current auditing laws and regulations.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the Partner-In-Charge of audit engagements.
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of complete financial statements and related reports for audit clients.
  • Offer training to Staff Accountants as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Accounting degree or educational qualifications to sit for the CPA exam required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and taxation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective, timely, and professional communication abilities.
  • Adaptable team player who can also work independently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.
  • Desire to continuously develop and enhance skills.
