Job Summary

Chenega Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Guard to provide security services at a U.S. Government location. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, facilities, and assets.

Responsibilities
  • Provide armed security services at a U.S. Government location, including conducting roving patrols, preventing installation breaches, and other OPSEC or security-related tasks.
  • Carry out general and special orders for post assigned, including interacting with public and government personnel, providing access control, traffic control, and conducting walking and motorized armed security functions.
  • Communicate via radio, telephone, and orally according to orders, and maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy at all times.
  • Conduct personnel, vehicular, building, and facility checks, as well as package and parcel inspections, to ensure the security and integrity of the facility.
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and be available to work overtime as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English.
  • Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration.
  • Active TS clearance.
  • Shall not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 U.S.C. 922.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Valid NC driver's license and able to operate SUV style vehicles.
  • Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
  • Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
  • Successfully meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by US Army.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
