Introduction

Mission Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Neurology team on A6 West. As a member of our dynamic team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with various neurological conditions, including stroke care, myasthenia gravis, encephalopathies, dementia, brain, and spinal tumors.

We are proud to offer a unique Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) where patients undergo 24/7 monitoring for seizure activity. Our team conducts tests such as tilt table testing, strobe light testing, sleep deprivation, and medication adjustments to diagnose epilepsy and tailor treatment plans.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Preferred Experience: One year hospital nursing experience
  • Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position
  • Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider
