Meat Processing Technician

Position Summary

The Meat Processing Technician is tasked with managing PLC systems to operate machinery effectively. This role requires vigilance in monitoring grinders and pumps to uphold quality standards.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

This job description does not limit management's ability to assign or reassign tasks as necessary.

• Maintain a safe and controlled working environment at all times.
• Perform grease line blowouts as necessary.
• Engage in cleanup activities, including floor shoveling, hosing down floors and machinery, and utilizing wheelbarrows and PIT.
• Manage the cooking process within designated parameters.
• Document operational activities in accordance with our GMP standards.
• Report any issues or maintenance needs to the shift supervisor.
• Attendance at all safety briefings is mandatory.
• Execute any additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• Reliable and dependable; must be willing to work nights and/or weekends as required.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, standing, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching.
• Capability to stand for 8 hours and occasionally work 12-hour shifts.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
• Regular reaching with hands and arms.
• Ability to work 40-60 hours per week.

Work Environment

Must be prepared to work in varying temperature conditions (from 100°F to 45°F) and handle odors associated with animal by-products.
