Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacist, PRN to join our team at Uniontown Hospital. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense medications and other pharmaceutical preparations as ordered by physicians.
  • Provide pharmaceutical consultation to doctors and nurses, ensuring accurate and timely medication management.
  • Assist in the purchasing of drugs from vendors and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmaceutical products and services.
  • Conduct regular drug checks and inspections on various hospital floors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the IV admixture program, ensuring accurate and safe preparation of medications.
  • Attend pharmacy-related hospital meetings and contribute to the development of quality assurance programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy.
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in West Virginia or be license eligible; licensure must be completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience in hospital pharmacy, either through internship or as a registered pharmacist.
